Viktoria Postnikova, born into a Moscow family of musicians, displayed exceptional piano talent at age three, astounding her family with her ability to play by ear and with both hands. Her musical path was clear, leading to studies at Moscow Central Music School and a public orchestral debut at just seven years old. She garnered numerous awards, including those from the Chopin, the Leeds, and the Tchaikovsky Competition. Postnikova has graced major musical centers across Europe, Asia, and America, performing as a soloist with renowned orchestras like the Berlin Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, BBC Symphony, Boston Symphony, Orchestre de Paris, as well as prestigious Russian and Japanese orchestras. Eminent conductors such as Sir Adrian Boult, Sir John Barbirolli, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Simon Rattle, Kurt Masur, and Gennadi Rozhdestvensky have directed her performances. Her extensive recording catalog includes Tchaikovsky's complete solo piano works, Prokofiev's five piano concertos, Busoni, Brahms, and Chopin concertos, among others. Postnikova is also celebrated for her chamber music collaborations with luminaries like Yehudi Menuhin and Julia Varady, delivering memorable performances in Switzerland, England, France, and Russia.
